TS Events has been collecting for charity on their coach trips and the Naze Protection Society was lucky enough to be one of those charities. Here is Lindsey Jacobs, owner of TS Events, left with her colleague Helen Valentine, who recommended us, and David Eagle, Chairman, receiving the cheque.

What a fabulous get together we had on 6th June. We hosted a number of speakers who gave us new insights to why The Naze is worth preserving and what we can do about it.
Ian Davidson, CEO Tendring District Council and Chair of Naze Management Board on the potential impact of devolution.
Professor Jules Pretty, Chair of Essex Climate Action Commission and four students from Lift Tendring talked to us about Climate Change, about what is being done and what makes our own contribution worthwhile.
Professor Graham Underwood of Essex University on how to ‘generate the evidence to support coastal management’.
Dr Malcolm Hardy of Essex Wildlife Trust on building natural resilience on our coast
Andrew St Joseph, Essex Coastal Organisation on how we develop real solutions to real problems
David Eagle, Chair Naze Protection Society on our plan with our partners for 2026 to 2030.

We are sorry to announce that one of our most enthusiastic supporters, Dr Josie Close MBE, passed away last month at her home in London. Josie was a passionate activist for Naze Protection Society and a member of the team who worked on the charity re-launch in May 2021. Her contribution has been a great asset to the progress the charity has made in the past five years. She is much missed. If you knew Josie, please join us on 9th July, 3.30pm, at The Nose for a memorial get together over a cup of tea.

It is with great sadness that the Society has to report on the passing of David Gager, who died on Monday October 13th. David was elected as Chairman of the Society in November 1997. Read the full report here.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Save the Naze Party on Sunday 17th August. We had a great time with everyone joining in the old-fashioned games of Spot the Dog, skittles, name the rabbit, etc. And there were lots of stalls selling a wide selection of goods. We are happy that we have raised awareness of the situation up on the Naze and enrolled 20 new members. And the event raised over £3000.
